Foodie Friday: Red Velvet Brownies with White Chocolate Buttercream

I’m pretty sure you’re drooling just reading the title to this week’s Foodie Friday post. But don’t just dream about these brownies…MAKE THEM! We spotted this from Food_Cravings101 on Instagram and modified it with MyRecipes.com‘s recipe. Check it out!

 

Ingredients

Brownies

1 (4 oz) bittersweet chocolate baking bar, chopped

3/4 cup butter

2 cups sugar

4 large eggs

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 (1 oz) bottle red food coloring

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

2 cups walnuts, chopped (optional)

White Chocolate Buttercream

1/2 cup (8 tbsps) unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

4 oz good quality white chocolate (not chips), melted — Callebaut recommended

1-2 tbsp heavy cream

Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter  9 inch square pan and line all sides with parchment paper.
